About our classrooms and curriculum

Our classrooms are designed to engage children in the learning process to help foster a love of learning. Our goal is to help the whole child develop and help them get excited about school. Our materials and curriculum have been carefully selected to inspire learning, challenge students to grow, and teach essential skills in the following areas:

  • Social development
  • Emotional development
  • Spiritual growth
  • Literacy development
  • Cognitive development
  • Health and hygiene
  • Language development
  • Self-regulation
  • Physical development

Our preschool program follows the Core Knowledge Preschool Sequence. This sequence introduces developmentally appropriate and play based themes that allow children to expand their knowledge of themselves and the world as they grow. We use Zoo Phonics and Learning without Tears to support language and literacy development and early writing. We are introducing SPARK in 2022-a wonderful, exciting, and fun physical education program designed around helping children’s development through play that encourages fine and gross motor movement. In addition to our curriculum, our teachers are learning Love and Logic, a caring approach to helping children work through difficult emotions, mistakes, and experiences that is centered around building caring and respectful relationships between students and caregivers.

Assessments are performed throughout the school year to help teachers and parents identify what your child loves to learn about and what areas of development they are growing in. Parent-teacher conferences are offered in the spring for our preschool families.
